Marta Costa is a children's book illustrator based in Barcelona who works for clients all over the world. Marta, who grew up in a village near Barcelona in a family of talented artists, particularly her mother, aunt, and grandfather, spent her childhood engrossed in playing with coloring pencils and toy kitchen sets. While her interest in cooking waned over time, her passion for drawing endured.
After studying Graphic Design at university, Marta embarked on a 17-year career as a designer. However, she eventually decided to pursue her true passions. She enrolled in a degree program in illustration and secured her first commission in 2008. Throughout her career, Marta has collaborated with publishers in Spain, the UK, Germany, Korea, and the US, showcasing her talents and creativity on a global scale.
